Terms & Conditions

All wedding and décor hire clients will receive our T&C's and contract. Plus we have £5m public liability insurance. 

Booking Fee
To go ahead and secure your booking we ask for a £100 booking fee. This booking fee is non-refundable and is deducted from your final invoice. Once the booking fee has been received, your event is booked with us. Prices and dates are secure unless stated otherwise. 


Quotation & Payment
A quotation for the cost of your wedding flowers will be sent to you after your free consultation. Quotes are valid for 30 days. You are free to make changes to your order up until 60 days before the wedding day. You will receive a final invoice approximately 30 days before your wedding. Full payment is required at least 14 days before your wedding day. If payment is not received, flowers will not be ordered.


Cancellation
In the unfortunate event of cancellation, the booking fee cannot be refunded. Complete cancellation of the wedding must be advised in writing.

In the unlikely event that I must cancel for unavoidable circumstances, for example in the event of fire, natural disaster, death, serious family illness or tragedy all money paid by the client will be repaid. Prestige Petals Essex are only responsible for refunding moneys paid, and not anything to do with any other costs incurred by the inconvenience.  All reasonable efforts will be made to find a replacement florist option to be paid for by the client. If we must take the decision to cancel due to slander, abusive conduct etc, all moneys paid are forfeit and there is no right to any refund.

There are no refunds for cancellations of individual items after the final balance has been paid, unless by the agreement of both parties. Cancellations made less than two weeks before the wedding date may forfeit full payment if Prestige Petals Essex has ordered flowers and the order cannot be cancelled. 


Postponement or Cancellation due to Corona Virus  

I value the health and welfare of my clients, and this is my policy regarding a postponement or cancellation due to Corona Virus. If you are postponing your wedding, please check availability with us, as your booking fee is non-refundable if we already have a booking for your new date.  If we are available, your booking fee will be transferred to your new date. Please bear in mind that availability of certain flower varieties will change from season to season. If the postponement/ cancellation is prior to ordering your wedding flowers, I will be happy to use your booking fee for a future date. If your flowers have been ordered, received, processed and/or designed, you will be financially responsible for the flowers and all labour provided. The remaining balance can be applied to a future date. At no point can Prestige Petals Essex refund any or all the payment received.


Availability of Flowers
We do not guarantee specific stem types. We will work with your wish lists and if available we will include your specified flowers/foliage’s. However, if they are unavailable or of poor quality, we will use suitable alternatives which match closest to your requirements. All fresh flowers are subject to availability and undergo stringent quality checks.


Prestige Petals Essex cannot be held responsible for any failures of delivery of special orders by the wholesaler. In the rare case of delivery failure, we will do all we can to substitute the ordered flowers with the nearest varieties to the original order. Small variations in colour and size may occur.

All flowers will be delivered to you in prime condition in water or suitable packaging for maximum shelf life. It is the responsibility of the receiver / caterer/ venue to make sure the flowers are kept in optimum conditions according to the florist’s instructions. Prestige Petals Essex cannot be held responsible for any failures in the flowers if these instructions have not been adhered to. Where flowers are installed prior to an event (the day/days before the event), Prestige Petals Essex cannot take responsibility for the shelf life and condition of the flowers between installation and the commencement of the event. Any damages or failed flowers will be replaced at an additional charge.


Décor Hire
Charges will be made for any damage to décor hired. Replacement of goods is charged at the current purchase price. It is the responsibility of the hirer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault. Equipment hired always remain the property of Prestige Petals Essex.

The Client gives permission for Prestige Petals Essex to contact the venue and vendor to confirm event details. The client understands and agrees that it is not Prestige Petals Essex responsibility to set up or dismantle any items that are sub-rented or dropped off from other vendors or other person.


All materials are guaranteed to be as specified by the manufacturer. If a supplier discontinues a product or a manufacturer changes material types, Prest Petals Essex reserves the right to substitute an item for another of like kind and quality and make any last-minute changes, based on our discretion, availability of materials at the time of your event.


If Prestige Petals Essex deems the event to be unsafe, we serve the right to stop all services and provide the same service on a different date or at a different location. If the Client or the Clients guest cause the event to become unsafe, the Client will pay any fees associated with the changing the date of the service.


A damages deposit is required on all bookings. The damages deposit is refundable, and the price of the deposit varies depending on what is hired. The damages deposit is refunded to the Client upon return and inspection of the hired materials. 
If damage or loss occurs, the Client must pay the replacement value of said product(s) (excluding washable stains) this will be deducted from the damages fee. If the amount should go over the damages fee, the Client will be charged for the remaining amount owed.
 
Use of magnets
You may be asked if you would prefer magnets instead of pins to attach corsages onto clothes. Please ensure that guests wearing these do not have a pacemaker fitted. A magnet may stop the pacemaker from working properly. Prestige Petals Essex accept no responsibility for any resulting health issue which may arise from magnets and pacemakers or ICDs.


Photographs
Prestige Petals Essex reserve the right to take photographs of flowers and the setting prior to the event which may be used for promotional purposes.


Responsibility
Prestige Petals Essex accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to the hirer or any third party regarding any equipment hired for use at the event.

It is up to the Client to provide correct locations for deliveries. We shall not take responsibility for lateness caused by an incorrect details or address.


Complaints                                                                                                                   Any complaints must be made within 24 hours along with photographic evidence. No responsibility can be taken with regards to poor condition once flowers have been approved.


Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. By paying you booking fee, you are agreeing to any changes that are made. These will always be minor changes to wording only. Any major changes will be presented to you via email.
